Get to know the IFP Board 2021-2022

Steven - Chairman

Hi everyone! My name is Steven Smits and I will be the next Chairman of the IFP Board 2021-2022. In the coming month I will complete my bachelor International Business. During the last few years I gained a lot of theoretical knowledge in this area, before starting my master study I would like to put this theoretical knowledge into practice, and develop myself further on a professional level. After doing some research I found out that a board year with IFP is the perfect way to accomplish this. With IFP you get in touch and collaborate with Dutch international operating companies, for which you conduct research in a foreign country. On top of this I like to be socially in touch with a lot of people and to work together in a team, I also found this at IFP. I feel honoured that I get the chance of being the chairman for the coming year, right now my fellow board members and I are working on the next destination for our projects. The current COVID pandemic and its development is something we look at closely. Next year we really want to go to our chosen country, so we do everything to make this possible! For any questions regarding the International Financial Program, feel free to contact us!

Dimitris - External Relations & Treasurer

Hello everyone! My name is Dimitris Kariotis and I will fulfil the role of External Relations and Treasurer in the IFP Board 2021-2022. I am in the last stage of my Bachelor International Business. During my bachelors I gained a lot of theoretical knowledge which I would like to use in real life. Being part of the new IFP board provides me professional opportunities and knowledge but even more important is that it will give me the opportunity to enjoy the student life for one extra year. What interests me the most about IFP is the combination of working on such a big project with large companies while having a great time with a big group of students. I am really looking forward to fun activities together with the board and participants. On top of that I heard a lot of great stories about the trip you work toward the entire year.

Daan - External Relations

Hi everyone! My name is Daan van Ittersum and I will be the next External Relations member on the IFP board of 2021-2022. I am 21 years old and I am currently in the second year of my bachelor business administration. Together with Dimitris and Zaklina I will be responsible for the acquisition phase of the program. During my bachelor's, I often missed the opportunity to use my gained knowledge in a practical way. IFP is for me the perfect solution for this problem because of the cooperation we will have with big dutch companies and other organisations. Also, the size of the group participating in this project is a plus for me because of the close bond that we eventually will create. I am really looking forward to working with my fellow board members and the participants to face the challenges and opportunities this great program will bring.

Zaklina - External Relations

Hi! My name is Zaklina Starcevic and I will be one of the External Relations board members of upcoming year’s IFP edition. I am 22 years old and have already finished my bachelor International Business. As I did not want to start with my master's yet, I decided to do some extracurricular activities, such as becoming an active FSG member. After learning about IFP, I was convinced that this was the perfect project to be joining for the upcoming year! This is due to the fact that it provides great opportunities to develop myself further on a more practical level, gain additional professional skills and expand my network. The best thing about IFP is, however, actually creating valuable research for Dutch companies in our chosen emerging country. Together with a close group of participants, we will encounter multiple interesting phases throughout the year. It will be challenging, but most of all exciting, so I am really looking forward to this year with my fellow board members and the participants!

Pien - PR & Logistics

Hi! My name is Pien Mulder and I will be responsible for the function of PR and Logistics of the International Financial Program this upcoming year. I am 23 years old and currently in the last year of my bachelor International Business. IFP is the perfect program for me as it combines a new challenge on both an academic and social level. After seeing one of my friends who participated in IFP last year, I was extremely excited and motivated to apply for the board of 2022. I am looking forward to using my theoretical knowledge in real life and working with actual multinational organizations. I love traveling and exploring new cultures and I think IFP combines my love for traveling, meeting new people and also gaining new professional skills that will be helpful for my further studies. I’m looking forward to this year with my fellow board members and the participants that will join us in our research and trip next year!
